Newark's Trusted Driving School
Professional instruction on Bloomfield Avenue, built around your schedule. From first-time teens to seasoned drivers refreshing their skills, we guide every student to the road with poise and preparation.
Our Programs
Every learner is different. We offer structured courses that meet you exactly where you are — whether you're nervous about your first time behind the wheel or you need a refresher before your road test.
A comprehensive program for new teen drivers that covers classroom instruction, behind-the-wheel training, and road test preparation. We build habits that last a lifetime — not just a passing grade.
Whether you're looking to renew your license, reduce insurance premiums, or simply drive safer, our defensive driving course sharpens your awareness and decision-making on the road.
One-on-one instruction on your schedule. No group pressure, no fixed curriculum — just focused time with an experienced instructor who adapts to your learning pace and goals.
Walk into your road test with confidence. We practice the exact routes and maneuvers that examiners look for, so you know exactly what to expect on test day.
About Us
North Ave Driving School has been a fixture in the Newark community for over 15 years. Located on Bloomfield Avenue, we've helped thousands of students — from nervous teenagers to adults returning to the road — earn their licenses and, more importantly, develop the confidence to drive safely for years to come.
Our instructors are state-certified, patient, and deeply familiar with the Essex County road test routes. We don't rush students through a checklist; we build real driving competence, one lesson at a time.
Why Choose Us
There are plenty of driving schools in New Jersey. Here's why Newark families keep choosing ours.
Our instructors train on the exact routes used for Essex County road tests. You'll practice at the intersections, roundabouts, and parking maneuvers that actually count.
We move at your pace. If you need an extra lesson on parallel parking, we'll take the time. Your comfort and safety come before any schedule.
No hidden fees, no surprise charges. What we quote is what you pay — including the cost of your road test appointment when you enroll in a full package.
School, work, life — we know your time is valuable. That's why we offer lessons seven days a week, including evenings until 8 PM.
